It’s a real pleasure to feature Autism by Jan-Dirk Platek in Upright. Jan is an intriguing, prolific multi-instrumentalist. He’s perhaps best known for his work as We Deserve This, which has been releasing post-metal / post-rock music since 2006, building up a back catalogue with over 100 items and a substantial loyal following. In more recent years he’s branched out into piano music, releasing his distinctive compositions under his own name and winning high praise from the BBC’s Steven McCauley.
